Swatch: P2 Color Victim 840 Tell me a secret!

   

Tonight I wanted to share a quick swatch...But I couldn't pick one: I've got too many pictures in my Drafts, so I closed my eyes and clicked randomly on a folder...The P2 (an Austrian brand) one!

There was only a swatch in that folder, so here is Tell me a secret!, that I got thanks to a swap with Maki from CandyGlaze (unfotunately her blog is not public anymore :-/).

It's a light green with a subtle shimmer (not very visible on nails), opaque in two coats. 

I think that it was part of a limited/season edition or something similar, I can't find it on their web color chart anymore.

BTW a German blogger compared it to Dior Waterlily, apparently they are almost dupes!

Stasera avevo voglia di postare uno swatch veloce, ma come mi capita spesso mi sono trovata bloccata: troppe foto nel mio archivio "da lavorare".

E così ho chiuso gli occhi e girato un po' il mouse a caso, facendo un doppio click su...

La cartella P2, nella quale non c'era molto da scegliere, visto che avevo in sospeso solo lo swatch di questo smalto, arrivato da me alcuni anni fa grazie ad uno swap con la carinissima Maki di CandyGlaze (che ora ha reso il blog privato).

Lo smalto è Tell me a secret!, un verde primaverile con uno shimmer molto leggero (che non si nota quasi sulle unghie), coprente in due passate.

Credo fosse parte di una limited edition di qualche tipo (non mi risulta sia più in cartella colori), tra l'altro una blogger tedesca ai tempi l'aveva comparato al Dior Waterlily, pare fosse un suo dupe!

So che adesso gli smalti P2 si trovano anche in alcune OVS/Upim, io in Friuli non ho mai avuto modo di vederli dal vivo purtroppo, ma mi pare che sull'elenco nazionale, dopo Gorizia e Trieste, sia finalmente apparso anche Udine! Indagherò...

Nota: ingenuamente ho cercato l'elenco dei negozi googlando "P2 Italia" :-D vi risparmio la fatica e lascio il link della pagina creata appositamente da Nailpolisharmy.

Swatch: Nogotok Aromatic Lacquer 04

Here is the polish I used as base for my peridot mani: Nogotok Aromatic n. 04. I got it thanks to Irina from Zebra Nails (Спасибі!!): Nogotok is an Ukrainian brand, impossible to find in my country.

The polish has a bright grass-kiwi green shade and contains tiny black micro glitters, that spread evenly on nails. Average opacity, here you can see the result after two coats: nail line is slightly visible, but not annoying (in my opinion).

I really liked it on nails, also because it's super glossy! BTW once dry the polish has a sort of "floral" scent, I think it's no coincidence it's called "Aromatic".

Ecco qui lo smalto usato come base per la mia peridot-manicure: Nogotok Aromatic n. 04.

Intanto ringrazio Irina di Zebra Nails per avermelo mandato: la Nogotok è una marca ucraina e non avrei mai potuto aggiungerlo alla mia collezione, se non fosse stato per lei.

Il colore è un verde erba-kiwi intenso, con dei particolari micro glitterini neri (opachi). Lo smalto è mediamente coprente, qui lo vedete dopo due passate: la linea bianca dell'unghia si intravede, ma non è per niente fastidiosa.

Nota di (super) merito alla lucentezza.

Aggiungo anche che lo smalto una volta asciutto emana un leggero profumo (floreale?), suppongo che non sia un caso che si chiami Aromatic!

Swatch: Orly Emberstone

 

Today I have a precious stone for you :) it's Orly Emberstone, that I own thanks to Irina (we did a huge swap last year).

It's a sparkling light red polish, filled with golden, orange and pink flakes (that make it look leaning to "strawberry pink", especially indoors).

Two coats in my pictures: nails are evenly covered, but at certain angles nail line is still slightly visible (the polish is translucent, so that it doesn't cover the beautiful flakes)

Oggi per voi ho un gioiellino: Orly Emberstone, arrivato nelle mie mani grazie ad Irina e allo swap fatto l'anno scorso.

Curiosamente il nome, per quanto suggestivo (ember signfica "brace"), non corrisponde a nessun minerale reale, l'unica cosa che ho trovato con Google è la pietra di un videogioco (Ni No Kuni - Wrath of the White Witch). 

Comunque sia, Emberstone è un rosso chiaro strapieno di flakes arancio, dorati e rosa (che in interni lo fanno sembrare molto "rosa fragola").

Nelle mie foto vedete il risultato dopo due passate, lo smalto è uniforme, ma da certe angolazioni si vede comunque la linea dell'unghia (è comunque abbastanza leggero, in modo da non nascondere i bellissimi flakes).

Veramente stupendo.

Nail mail from Ukraine [swap - haul]

Last Friday has been an epic "nail mail" day for me: the parcel Irina (from Zebra-nails) sent me finally arrived!! We were both worried, as according to international tracking the parcel stopped at Italian customs on october 7th, but luckily a week later it resumed its journey and arrived here safe and sound.

Unpacking and unwrapping make me feel like it was Christmas: not just the beautiful polishes Irina picked for me (and suggested, in some cases), but also a surprise polish, chocolate, jelly candies (she remembered I have a soft spot for them) and a magnet shaped as an Ukrainian traditional clothing!

I must thank her again for her kindness and helpfulness, she's as nice as you can imagine reading her blog!

And now...pictures:

Venerdì scorso per me è stato un giorno da "nail mail" epico! Forse avrete letto sul blog di Irina (Zebra-nails) del nostro scambio smalti; eravamo entrambe un po' preoccupate perché il mio pacco era fermo dal sette presso l'ufficio postal-doganale di Linate...Invece dopo una settimana di permanenza è ripartito e l'altro ieri è arrivato qui sano e salvo!

Una specie di Natale in anticipo: oltre agli smalti che pazientemente Irina ha cercato per me (e alcuni me li ha proprio suggeriti lei) ho trovato anche cioccolata, cioccolatini con immagini tipiche dell'Ucraina, caramelle gommose (si ricordava che ho un debole per orsetti e schifezze simili :D) e perfino un magnete che riproduce un costume locale!

Non posso fare altro che ringraziarla per la disponibilità e per la gentilezza, come si intuisce leggendo il suo blog è veramente una ragazza carinissima!

The Rainbow Ladies: Indigo - P2 020 Blue Galaxy (Fly me to the moon LE)

Here I am with the indigo post!

Actually I wasn't sure about what an "indigo" should be, because it often has been used to label both "dark blue" or "blue leaning to purple" polishes (in that case I love to call them "blurple", maybe someone can explain me the different meaning of the terms); moreover the polish I picked was going to be featured from another Rainbow Lady, so I decided to choose this "new entry" instead.

It's Blue Galaxy from P2, a German brand I'm going to try thanks to the swap with Maki. It belongs to the limited edition "Fly me to the moon" and it's a nice blue with pink shimmer (unfortunately more visible in the bottle than on nails), quite viscous and opaque in two coats.

Indigo or not indigo?

Shimmer, shimmer in the bottle...

Ed eccomi con l'indigo...Misterioso colore che tradotto sarebbe indaco e la cui interpretazione varia da blu scuro a blu-quasi-viola.

Quello che vi mostro non è la mia prima scelta, ma volendo evitare doppioni con altre Ladies ho ripiegato su questo P2, una delle mie ultime aggiunte allo swap con Maki.

Appartiene ad una collezione recente, la Fly me to the moon, ed è un bel blu con shimmer rosa che si vedono abbastanza nella boccetta e purtroppo poco/niente sulle unghie. Due passate (è piuttosto viscoso) ed è coprente.

Scusate il post stringato ma oggi oltre ad essere in ritardo ho anche fatto un po' di casino sul programma di gestione foto (disinstallando una versione vecchia ho fatto un danno su quella che stavo usando). :ç

Non perdevi gli altri indigo qui sotto, so per certo che ce ne sono di stupendi!!

The Rainbow Ladies: Green - Manhattan 07S Green Chai

And as I promised yesterday...Today's green is a new polish of mine: Manhattan Green Chai (from my recent swap with Maki)!

About the brand...I think it's German (the polish is made in Luxembourg, anyway) and I saw it's sold also at DM in Slovenia; I don't know about their usual assortment but this polish became quite famous among German nailbloggers.
It belongs to a limited "blogger edition" and it's a light pistachio green filled with green, fuchsia and yellow glitters; I stopped after two coats as it was opaque enough and I was afraid that adding another one might give polish a "thick" appearance.

I know this shade would have looked better on tanned hands or a darker complexion, but I couldn't resist all the colorful glitters ;-) so pretty!

Post velocissimo per la serie Rainbow Ladies: oggi tocca al verde, un colore che qui si vede spesso :-) e ho pensato di approfittarne per farvi vedere uno dei miei ultimi arrivi (dallo swap con Maki): il Green Chai della Manhattan.

Credo sia un marchio tedesco (comunque questo smalto è made in Luxembourg), io ne ho trovato un espositore anche al DM in Slovenia.

Non so come siano i loro colori di solito, Green Chai è diventato abbastanza famoso, fa parte di una limited "blogger edition" ed è un verde pistacchio chiarissimo con glitter gialli, fucsia e verdi. Ho dato solo due passate perché non volevo appesantirlo troppo, però come coprenza è accettabile.

Certo starebbe meglio su una carnagione meno pallida della mia o su mani abbronzate ma non ho saputo resistere a quei glitterini!

Buona notte e buona visione degli altri post verdi (non vedo l'ora di ammirare i quadratini colorati qua sotto)!!

My new German polishes - Pacchetto dalla Germania [swap - scambio]

It all began with the idea of sending Maki from Candy Glaze a couple Shakas she was lemming...Then her kindness and help in finding some precious German polishes (including some Essence/Catrice that never reached my country) made our small swap become...Well, not so just about a couple bottles! I really have to thank her also for the gorgeous Color Line and red P2 she added to my parcel :-*

And about the sweets and jelly bears I found with the polishes, well they didn't made it to the first sunny day to be pictured (I can't resist to jelly bears/snakes/bottles/whatever).

Thanks for swapping, Maki: you made me a happy polishaholic :-)!

E' tutto iniziato da un paio di Shaka che piacevano a Maki di Candy Glaze...E a forza di ammirare swatches tedeschi (e grazie anche alla sua disponibilità a reperirmi in giro dei pezzi gia "discontinued") è finita che siamo arrivate ad uno scambio un po' più consistente.

C'erano anche delle caramelle/orsetti gommosi nel pacchetto, ma non sono riuscita a farli arrivare al primo giorno di sole (sono una mangiatrice compulsiva di orsetti/serpentelli/ciucci/bottigliette gommose)!

Grazie Maki, gli smalti sono stupendi (per non parlare delle aggiunte a sorpresa, i due Color Line ed il P2 rosso) :-*
