Vacation + Haul in Austria!

I just came back from a very short vacation in Austria, just relaxing and spending time with hubby and kids...And shopping (just a pinch). For that I must thank the Eng. that agreed to stop in a big mall on our way back home and took care of the kids while I was exploring the shops.

Actually during the vacation I also managed to stop by a Bipa shop, where I found a couple of their Look by Bipa polishes and two IQ (a Bipa brand I never tried) that were on sale. That day I was quite "bronze"!

Quasi appena tornata da una mini vacanza in Austria...Oltre al relax e al tempo in famiglia sono anche riuscita a fare un po' di shopping. E qui scatta il ringraziamento all'Ing., che al ritorno ha acconsentito ad una sosta al mega centro commerciale di Villach (e soprattutto ad intrattenere i nani per un'oretta mentre io perlustravo).

Non ho comprato molto, però mi andava di fare un post "informativo" (semmai vi capitasse di andare in Austria).

Tra l'altro mentre eravamo in vacanza ho fatto anche una scappata in un Bipa (c'erano anche da noi, ma han chiuso), dove ho trovato un paio di colori carini della loro Look by Bipa e due smalti IQ (mai provati, ma son sempre loro) in offerta.

Totale spesa 9€ (sì, mi sa che mi son comprata un altro doppione del Péridot)!

As we were in a hurry I decided to visit just certain shops...

Siccome avevo poco tempo (dovevamo rientrare) mi sono concentrata solo sulle profumerie (per fortuna ci sono le piantine):

No DM, as it will open on 2nd May, so I quickly visited Douglas, where I found (among other brands) Artdeco, BeYu, Isadora, but I didn't bought anything (polishes were not very cheap and I didn't see any peculiar shade).

Niente DM (aprirà il 2 maggio), ho fatto un giro rapido da Douglas, dove avevano un sacco di smalti che mi incuriosivano, come  Artdeco e Isadora, ma con i prezzi (8,95€ ArtDeco e 9,95€ Isadora) non ho fatto esperimenti "tanto per". C'erano anche i BeYu, ma solo le boccette grandi.

I just fell for an Anny that was on sale: in the shop I thought it was really beautiful, but according to the swatches I saw on the internet yesterday it's duller IRL :(

And bargain: a couple bottles of Essence polish remover.

Invece ho ceduto ad un Anny in offerta, in negozio mi sembrava bellissimo, ma dopo aver visto qualche swatch in rete ieri sera mi sono un po' smontata. Comunque mi consolo con il resto, ovvero una scorta di solvente Essence a 0,95€...

Besides Cosnova brands (Catrice and Essence), I saw so many other brands: Manhattan, Astor, Sally Hansen, Artdeco again, Rimmel, Essie and more, plus all high end brands.

Much to my surprise I even found a Butter London display!

Allora è un posto enorme, dove si trovano assieme: cosmesi (sia di marche da profumeria che da grande distribuzione), articoli tipo drogheria, giocattoli, cancelleria e dolci (almeno: ho visto cioccolatini vari in offerta ma non avendo tempo ?_? non ho approfondito).

Un paradiso.

A parte Cosnova (presenti Catrice Geometrix e Essence Guerrilla Gardening), c'erano Manhattan, Astor, Sally Hansen, ancora ArtDeco, Rimmel, Essie, altre varie, più tutti i marchi famosi e...Butter London.

I freezed in front of them, but as I didn't expect to find them (ever) I wasn't prepared and didn't know what was The one(s) I really needed. So this time I spared 17,95€ (but I will compile my dupe free list and arrange to visit a Müller again).

In the end I bought just a couple things: a Sally Hansen cuticle remover and four Catrice new polishes (green-blu-purple, me boring!).

Sono rimasta paralizzata davanti all'espositore, ma dato che non me l'aspettavo non avevo in mente nessun nome e considerando i 17,95€ ho evitato l'acquisto a tutti i costi, però spero di trovarli in Slovenia (e per la prossima volta mi preparerò per bene, controllando prima eventuali doppioni).

Alla fine ho comprato proprio due cose: un cuticle remover della Sally Hansen e quattro colori nuovi Catrice (viola/blu/verde, che fantasia :-P).

Last shop I visited was Marionnaud, much more "high end products and glass cabinets". There I spotted these Alessandro duochromes. They were amazing in the bottle, but costed 12,95€ and when I tried the green one it was really sheer...So also there I decided not to make an impulse buy.

Am I becoming rational when it comes to polishes??

Infine cinque minuti da Marionnaud, una profumeria molto più tirata, con praticamente solo marchi di alto livello (su ripianetti di vetro). Lì ho visto questi duochrome Alessandro, gli Heavy Metal. Provato una passata del verde ma era davvero leggero e non me la sono sentita di investire 12,95€.

Starò mica diventando morigerata con gli smalti???

No soft, subtle and discreet polishes today, after all it's Friday!

A couple month ago I went to a Bipa shop with my BFs and when I saw this polish I immediately grabbed it: a purple foil!

After doing a quick comparison with an Essence Multi Dimension Purple Diamond  that was lying on the near shelf  I verified they were definitely different (Bipa one has a cooler tone, see below) and bought it (at just 1,99€, quite a bargain IMO).

A beautiful amethyst shade, opaque in two coats, but I added a third one to make color more intense. BTW what do you think about the name of this collection: "nail quickie"? :-P

Niente colori tenui e discreti oggi, dopotutto è venerdì (evviva)!

Un paio di mesi fa sono riuscita ad andare in un negozio Bipa (la catena austriaca, da noi ce n'è uno in ogni capoluogo di provincia) e appena ho visto questo smalto me ne sono innamorata: un foil viola!

Avevo il dubbio che fosse uguale al Purple Diamond della Essence ma per fortuna nel negozio avevano anche quelli ed ho fatto una rapida comparazione (no, non sono uguali, il Bipa ha una tonalità più fredda - sotto ho messo uno swatch su ruota) prima di comprarlo. Tra l'altro non è che mi sia svenata, con 1,99€ per 5ml.

Il colore è un bellissimo ametista, effettivamente foil e coprente in due mani. Io ne ho aggiunta una terza perché volevo un colore più intenso. 
PS solo a me fa ridere il "nail quickie"?

NOTD: Look by Bipa - 19 poison

I finally tried this  light "Shrek" green polish bought from Bipa and made some experiments as it's a frost and unfortunately leaves VPL and needs many coats to cover VNL. Anyway applying a white opaque polish after base makes two coats enough to have a good coverage.
Here is what I did:
pinkie: 1 coat white polish + 2 coats poison
ring: 2 coats poison
middle: 3 coats poison
index: 4 coats (!)
As I don't like VNL I think I will use always a white polish under this one, so I'll just have to apply 2 coats. I still haven't decided whether I like it or not, it's more yellow and less green than I expected/wanted.
Just to "position" it, the 8ml bottle costs 2,19 € (and it's pretty cheap here in Italy - considering that Sephora minis cost 5,5 €). 
Ho fatto qualche esperimento con questo verde "Shrek" preso da Bipa un paio di settimane fa, dato che è perlato non mi convince molto, si vedono le strisce del pennello e se non si danno tante mani, anche la parte bianca dell'unghia.
Però mettendo dopo la base uno smalto bianco opaco (ho usato il bianco Deborah French manicure) bastano due mani per un colore intenso e coprente.
Qui quello che ho fatto (dopo la base):
mignolo: una passata smalto bianco, due di poison
anulare; due mani poison
medio: tre poison
indice: quattro poison
Credo che opterò per il bianco + due mani. Non so ancora se mi piace o no, è meno verde e più giallo di quanto volessi...
Tanto per capire il "collocamento" sul mercato 8ml costano 2,19 €; non male, considerando i prezzi degli smalti qui da noi (i mini Sephora a 5,5 € per esempio)...

Bipa/Essence haul

Finalmente riesco a scrivere! Da stamattina con il nuovo editor mi si bloccava e così sono tornata al vecchio (per fortuna ho trovato indicazioni sul forum utenti).
Allora ieri dopo l'esame mi sono fiondata da Bipa ed ho trovato quello che cercavo: il Stampy set della Essence (consigliato da Serena-Nuvola); prima di lanciarmi in mega acquisti Konad meglio provare a vedere se sono capace di non fare solo disastri!
Ammetto di essermi lasciata andare, ecco qui il mio bottino:
Essence: colla e il separadita con le pietrine colorate, matita correttore per smalto, quick nail cerotti riparatori, solventi profumati (cocco-vaniglia, frutti di bosco-vaniglia, fragola-vaniglia), Stampy Set.

Finally I can post! Since this morning new Blogger editor freezed when I tried to write, I checked on users forum and saw that other people solved temporarily the problem switching back to the old editor. So did I.
Yesterday just after the exam I dashed to Bipa and found what I was searching for: Essence Stampy set (suggested by Serena-Nuvola); before spending huge amounts of money on Konad, it is better if I do some attempts to see if am able to not mess everything.
I have to admit that I let myself go, here is my haul:
Essence: nail glue and toe separator, nail polish corrector pencil, quick nail repair pads, polish remover (fragrances berry-vanilla, strawberry-vanilla), Stampy Set.
