Essence Trend Edition “Like an unforgettable kiss” [press release - cartella stampa]

 

I'm still trying to figure out how to survive Christmas :-P...And Essence is already planning their Valentine's Day collection 0_0

I have to say I'm not a big fan of this festivity, I prefer to celebrate on personal dates (such as anniversaries)...Anyway there will be polishes, two of them look suspiciously frosty, but as usual...We'll wait for real-life swatches!

Uno non ha neanche il tempo di iniziare a preoccuparsi del Natale...Che escono le cartelle stampa delle edizioni "a cuoricino" di San Valentino!!!

Non sono una grande fan di questa ricorrenza, per festeggiare preferisco un anniversario (molto più personale ^_^), per quanto riguarda gli smalti...Due sembrano pericolosamente perlati...Vedremo appena usciranno degli swatch!

Catrice Limited Edition “VIENNART” [press release]

I usually don't post Catrice press releases (also because their products are not so easy to find in my area, unless I go to a certain mall...or cross the border and go shopping in Slovenia), but I really liked the packaging of these ones and I wanted to share at least the pics (products info just in English).

I'll add links to swatches as soon as I find them (this limited edition should be released around mid November - countries listed below).

So che di solito non pubblico le cartelle stampa della Catrice (anche perché da me si trovano con difficoltà, solo nel negozio Scarpe&Scarpe di un centro commerciale non vicinissimo, oppure sconfinando in Slovenia)...

I know that I'm posting a lot of press releases lately, but Fall brought so many new collections! Today I will show you the polishes from Orly Smoky, here an excerpt from the press release:

Good news: soon I'll be able to show you also my swatches ^_^, I tried the polishes few days ago and I loved them, also the ones I didn't expect to (sneak peek on Instagram - penultimate picture).

Ultimamente qui è tutto un tripudio di cartelle stampa, con il cambio di stagione bisogna aggiornarsi anche sulle novità autunno/inverno! Questa è la nuova collezione Orly, dal nome quanto mai evocativo "Smoky" (trucco che mi piace da morire, quanto vorrei essere in grado di farlo decentemente)!

Tenetevi pronte, grazie alle PR Ladybird ho avuto modo di provare (in una delle poche giornate di sole) questi smalti e sono davvero belli, anche gli "insospettabili" (sbirciate la penultima foto su Instagram ad esempio)! Spero di riuscire a postarli prestissimo (almeno il primo terzetto)!

Skittle: Daring Game Kiko - Poker Nail Lacquer

I recently tried the Kiko polishes from Daring Game collection, their penultimate limited edition (Luxurious, the last one, has no polishes :-().

They are quite different from the usual ones, with a fancier bottle (with removable cap, similar to high end brands, like Chanel and Dior) and higher price (for the same amount of polish).

Here below press info, after that my first impressions:

Glossy nail polish in a pure colour. The formula is highly pigmented providing a dense, even colour with a gel effect. The polish is flexible and resistant, covering the surface of the nail perfectly.
The well-designed brush makes it simple to dip in and take the proper amount of nail polish for brushing gradually onto the nail. The application is quick and easy, giving an even and streak-free result.  No need to use a UV lamp.
The packaging includes an elegant cap indicating the colour shade's number and designed in the collection's signature style.

Potevo non provare gli smalti dell'ultima edizione limitata Kiko? Anzi mi correggo, l'ultima collezione Kiko con degli smalti (perché quella appena uscita -la Luxurious- non ne ha!).

Ovviamente no, anche perché questa volta si distinguono decisamente da quelli normali, sia come prezzo (6,90€ cad. per i soliti ml) sia come packaging (le boccette hanno il copritappo rimovibile, come ad esempio gli smalti Dior e Chanel). 

Qui sotto riporto le informazioni ufficiali dal sito, a seguire il mio commento "al volo".

Smalto colore pieno effetto glossato. La formula è stata arricchita con un elevato numero di pigmenti per offrire un colore corposo e omogeneo, effetto gel. Il film, elastico e resistente, copre la superficie delle unghie alla perfezione.

Grazie al pennello studiato per facilitare il prelievo dello smalto, il suo rilascio graduale sull’unghia e la sua stesura omogenea e senza striature, l’applicazione è semplice e veloce. Non necessita dell’utilizzo di lampada UV.

Il pack include un elegante cap con l’indicazione del numero della referenza colore riportato nel mood di collezione.

Poker Nail Lacquer è uno smalto 5-free: privo di Toluene, Canfora, DBP, Resina Formaldeide e Formaldeide.

Their formula is supposed to be "highly pigmented", with "gel effect"...So I put them to the test as one coaters (I'm naughty, I know!). They are very pigmented, with the exception of the blue one, that needed two coats. They are also quite glossy, but I think that the colors are quite ordinary.
Anyway if I had to use them for a regular mani I'd apply two coats to obtain a more intense color and a smoother surface.

Dato che la formula dovrebbe essere super coprente-glossata ecc...Ho provato gli smalti con una sola passata (son stata cattivella!), devo dire che sono davvero ben pigmentati, tranne il blu, per il quale sono state necessarie due passate. Sono anche molto lucidi, ma onestamente i colori proposti sono veramente stra-visti.

In ogni caso dovendo usarli applicherei comunque due passate, per avere un colore più intenso e una superficie più uniforme.

I don't know why Kiko decided to launch a "superior" line, considering that so far they've been well-known for their good yet affordable polishes.

Honestly it doesn't make sense to me.

Onestamente non mi è chiaro come mai un marchio tutto sommato low cost (e con prodotti, almeno per quanto riguarda le unghie, comunque molto validi), debba lanciare una linea di smalti di livello superiore (incluso packaging più complesso e costo più elevato). Mah!
