Swatch: Kiko 493 Vino Perlato

Good morning! Today I'm showing you another Kiko (this time directly from my "untrieds 2014" box); it's 493 Vino Perlato; I suppose they would have translated it as "Pearly Wine", but on Kiko UK page it has the same Italian name. Heaven knows!

BTW as usual "pearly" at Kiko means "full of gorgeus microflakes" ^_^.

Oggi vi mostro un altro Kiko (questo è mio ;-)), comprato la scorsa -del 2014- primavera. E' il n. 493 Vino Perlato; per fortuna il termine "perlato" da Kiko significa "microflakes", infatti questo rosso è pieno di adorabili scagliette dorato-iridescenti.

Vino Perlato is easy to apply and perfect in two coats (it dries quite glossy, no top coat for these swatches); it's really a gorgeous polish and I hope that my pictures do it justice (it was so sparkly in direct sunlight that it dazzled my camera).

I really loved it!

Lo smalto si applica agevolmente, qui il risultato dopo due passate (resta anche abbastanza lucido, niente top coat nelle foto).

Vino Perlato è davvero bellissimo e spero le foto rendano abbastanza, lo smalto superluccicante "spara" e quelle fatte al sole non mi convincono del tutto.

Comunque è stupendo, credetemi!

Swatch: Essence TE ¡Arriba! - 04 La vida loca

Today I'm showing you a polish from Essence Trend Edition ¡Arriba!: I found the display in Slovenia last week and I couldn't resist trying the "spicy metallic" finish ;-)

Luckily the polish is not metallic in a chrome-y way...In fact the warm purple base is infused with a lot of blue and pink microflakes (to the naked eye they look like shimmer). Here I applied two easy coats.

Once dry the polish is not very glossy, so I'd suggest adding some top coat (last pictures) to make it sparkle!

I'm very happy about this purchase, but I have the feeling that I already tried a polish with this base color/microflakes combo...I just can't recall its name! Any thoughts?

Oggi vi mostro uno dei due smalti della Trend Edition Essence ¡Arriba! che mi sono comprata la settimana scorsa (ho trovato gli espositori delle collezioni nuove in Slovenia). Sull'espositore erano attaccate quattro mini unghie finte per mostrare i colori (non so se se sia una cosa ufficiale o una trovata delle commesse del Müller ^_^ per scoraggiare prove volanti), non si capiva molto a dire il vero, ma il viola in boccetta mi sembrava bellissimo e così l'ho preso.

Non ho fatto male!!

E' un bel viola caldo medio, pieno di microflakes (anche se a occhio nudo sembrano più shimmer) blu e rosa. Due passate per questo swatch.

Da asciutto non è molto lucido, consiglio di rifinire la manicure con una bella passata di top coat (foto in fondo), che fanno risaltare i luccichii!

Sono molto contenta di questo acquisto (non altrettanto dell'altro, che spero di mostrarvi a breve, la suddetta unghia finta è stata poco realistica per quanto riguarda il "chalky matt"), anche se continuo a pensare che questo mix di colore/microflakes mi ricorda qualche altro smalto...Prima o poi mi verrà in mente, o magari me lo suggerirete voi!

Swatch: Etude House Play Nail polish #50

I'm sorry...I've been quite MIA lately: May has been a busy month in real life!! Anyway today I'm back to show you a Korean polish: last year my husband went on a business trip and brought me four Etude House bottles as "souvenir". This (to me) is definitely the prettiest of the bunch!

Oggi riemergo dal silenzio stampa (maggio è stato un mese incasinatissimo, son stata davvero poco presente nella blogosfera ç_ç, mi dispiace) e vi mostro uno degli smalti coreani portatimi dall'Ing. lo scorso anno.

Dei quattro Etude House che sono arrivati a casa questo è decisamente il più bello (secondo me), già dalla boccetta sentivo aria di duochrome!

No name, just number (#50), or maybe the name was written in Korean?

It has a blue/purple base with tons of iridescent blue flakes. Not super opaque after two coats, but the myriad of flakes attenuates any sheerer areas.

Overall it shifts from purple to blue and purple, so pretty (I could write "thank you my looove" here, but he never reads my blog)!

Non ha nome (credo, a meno che non fosse scritto in coreano sull'etichetta), solo il numero.

La base è un blu-viola ed è piena di flakes cangianti blu; dopo due passate non è coprentissimo, però la marea di flakes mimetizza eventuali aree poco coperte. Come vedete passa dal viola al blu al porpora.

Bellissimo (potrei scrivere "grazie Ammmore"...Se solo leggesse qui)!

Swatch: Revlon Parfumerie Autumn Spice

I wish I could post it before it was officially Winter...But I couldn't make it! Anyway here is Revlon Autumn Spice (my first and only polish from their Parfumerie collection).

I found it quite easy to apply, despite the thin brush and the spherical cap (not that handy); the warm brown base is filled with tiny golden/iridescent flecks, here your can see the result after two coats.

I didn't apply top coat, but I'd suggest adding a coat to make the surface smoother.

As for the scent, I think any evaluations are strictly personal, anyway I found it delicate, sweet and slightly spiced, but not that long lasting (the day after it was gone, but again, maybe it's just me).

Speravo di riuscire a postarlo prima dell'inizio ufficiale dell'inverno, ma non ce l'ho fatta!

Comunque eccomi qui a mostrarvi il Revlon Autumn Spice, il mio unico acquisto della collezione Parfumerie.

Come smalto l'ho trovato molto facile da applicare, nonostante il pennello sottile e soprattutto il tappo tondo (non comodissimo da maneggiare).

E' un marrone caldo con piccolissimi glass flecks dorati/iridescenti (qui due passate); io non l'ho fatto (poi ho pasticciato con lo stamping), ma varrebbe la pena completare la stesura con una passata di top coat.

Per quanto riguarda il profumo: l'ho trovato delicato e gradevole, con una punta di indefinibile dolce/speziato...Comunque so che da questo punto di vista la valutazione è molto soggettiva (anche per quanto riguarda la persistenza, io mi devo essere assuefatta presto, non mi è sembrato durasse più di un giorno).

2011 Week: Zoya Yara [swatch]

  

Another purchase from 2011! For today I've picked a Zoya polish from Mirrors collection (Fall 2011): Yara.

I't's a medium olive drab with lots of golden flakes: perfect in two coats and easy to apply.

I know I'm a sucker for this kind of finish: in Zoya's latest Fall collection there's a similar (but darker) shade...And I had to buy it! Did you already guess its name?

Un altro acquisto del 2011! Stavolta ho pescato dalla scatola uno Zoya autunnale (collezione Mirrors) veramente bello: Yara.

E' un verde oliva freddo pieno di microflakes dorati; stesura eccezionale "alla Zoya" e perfetto in due passate.

So di avere un debole per questo tipo di finitura, credo che tra gli smalti di questo autunno ci sia una parente prossima di Yara (ma più scura)...E ovviamente l'ho comprata! Avete già indovinato di chi sto parlando?

Swatch: Kiko 494 Amaranto Perlato - Pearly Amaranth

I admit I'm not super excited by the end of Summer. Silver lining: I get to wear different nail polish colors, more autumnal, like this one!

I actually bought last Spring, as soon as I saw it among the new shades (couldn't resist, they were on sale); Kiko named it Pearly Amaranth and, although I have to agree on amaranth, luckily it's not pearly at all!

In fact it has many beautiful fuchsia flakes (or should I call them tiny glass flecks?), that in the bottle might look even copper (unfortunately that doesn't happen on nails). Cherry on top: the polish is perfect in two coats!

Non è che io sia proprio elettrizzata dalla fine dell'estate, l'unico lato positivo è che il cambio di stagione mi permette di variare anche i colori da portare sulle unghie (tendenzialmente sono "stagionopatica", con gli smalti :-)).

E' arrivato quindi il momento di farvi vedere questo smalto, acquistato fuori stagione (quando l'ho visto in negozio non ho potuto fare a meno di comprarlo "per il prossimo autunno"...).

Kiko l'ha battezzato "amaranto perlato" e se sull'amaranto posso essere d'accordo, sul perlato "anche no" (per fortuna).

Lo smalto infatti è pieno di bellissimi microflakes fucsia (che in boccetta a certe angolazioni, assumono un riflesso ramato, putroppo non visibile sulle unghie). Ciliegina sulla torta: si stende bene ed è perfetto in due passate!
