Metallic green duochromes - duochrome verde metallizzato [comparison - comparazione]

Today the weather was quite cloudy, so I couldn't swatch and decided to work on my backlog. You already saw the picture in my “Elasti-Nails” post (last June :$), now it's really the time to uncover the polishes' names:

• Index - H&M Lady Luck
• Middle - Deborah Shine Tech Scarabée 71 Scarabee Green
• Ring - Missha HGR01
• Pinkie - Color Club Metamorphosis

Lady Luck and Deborah 71 are really really close, if I had to point out any differences I'd say Deborah one is just a pinch more azure and (unfortunately) it stains.

As for the others, Missha HGR01 has definitely more green-gold in it and Metamorphosis has just a different finish: less duochrome, less metallic and less prone to brush strokes.

So, if I really (really) had to clear out my stash, I'd say I could keep just one between Lady Luck and Deborah 71.

And if I had to suggest you one, I'd say Lady Luck: as it stains and costs less than the Deborah one (LL € 3,95 for 9ml – Deborah 7,80€ for 8,50ml, but you often can find a promo on them).

Oggi giornata senza sole, quindi mi sono impegnata e ho deciso di smaltire qualche arretrato...La foto l'avete già vista (a giugno dell'anno scorso) nel post “Elasti-Nails”, è ora che vi dica “chi è chi” (così vi organizzate per la prossima estate):

I due più simili (direi quasi uguali) sono l'H&M ed il Deborah...Con la differenza che il Deborah forse è un pizzico più azzurro e...Macchia!

Il Missha va più sull'oro-verde e il Metamorphosis ha decisamente un altro tipo di finitura, meno duochrome, meno metallizzata e con meno segni delle pennellate.

Diciamo che, dovendo proprio svuotare il mio armadio smalti, potrei liberarmi di uno dei primi due. 
E se dovessi consigliarne uno, opterei per il Lady Luck: macchia e costa meno del Deborah, che ha un prezzo di listino - però spesso si trova in offerta - di 7,80€ contro i 3,95€ dello smalto H&M. Come quantità siamo praticamente pari: 8,5ml il Deborah, 9ml l'H&M.

Ecco fatto! Arretrato smaltito (dopo soli 7 mesi)!

Top Coats Test wear on Missha - prova durata

Today has been an hectic day, I went home late in the evening and I haven't had the time to complete any posts I was mentioning on Twitter, so I'll use a backlog one that has been sitting in my Drafts for quite a long time : my failed wear test on Missha.

For me it has been a fail because I wanted to compare different top coats, but at the end of the test I noticed that there were no big differences and most of all the "coated" nails didn't last much more than the "just polished" one. Probably this metallic Missha is already enough resistant to wear, and that is good!

On polish wear: on my tips all polishes wear very quickly (I might try to typewrite with fleshy part of fingertips, but I really can't and use nailtips). Anyway these are the top coats I applied:

Oggi è stata una giornata di fuoco, sono tonata a casa tardissimo e non ho avuto il tempo di finire i post che menzionavo su Twitter, quindi approfitto di un arretrato che stava in "bozze" da parecchio: la mia prova di resistenza, fallita, sul Missha. Dico fallita perché volevo comparare alcuni top coat (ho la tendenza a comprare tutti quelli - economici - che vedo in giro) ma il test non ha evidenziato particolari differenze, né tra i top coat né con l'unghia con solo smalto, probabilmente perché il colore metallizzato era già abbastanza resistente da solo (che non è una brutta notizia, di per sé).

Come sempre le punte mi si consumano in tempo zero, il giorno dopo sono già bianche, con praticamente tutti gli smalti (qualcuno più, qualcuno meno - dovrei cercare di scrivere al pc usando i polpastrelli ma proprio non ci riesco e quindi finisco con il premere i tasti con le punte delle unghie), comunque il risultato non è male, ecco qui i prodotti usati:

• index – indice Essence Better than nails
• middle – medio Seche Vite
• ring - anulare Kiko Shiny
• pinkie – mignolo no top coat / senza top coat

The prettier the polish the harder to write the review! Or at least this is how it works for me. I fell in love this Korean polish when Nathalie from Jellynat showed it, kindly explaining also where to get this "precious".

Almost immediately I ordered it (at 11,98 USD + 2,50 insurance) and after 20 days it arrived here (in a very safe package - see pics at the bottom of the post).

First thing I noticed applying it is that brush is really wide (approx 5mm) and flat, but it works perfectly; 2 coats in my pictures, with no clean up (what u see is what u get :-))! There are still some visible brush strokes but the color is so amazingly beautiful that you barely notice them: a "scarab" green with intense turquoise and gold hues. Under direct sunlight it seems a light green foil you but you just have to move your hand to see the magic :-) In shade and indoors it is stunning, too, I made tons of pictures!

Green-gold duochromes are next Fall's trend (according to pictures I saw this is quite different from Chanel Peridot, anyway) but, trendy or not, this one is really something each green/duochrome lover must possess!!

Side note: I tried a wear test with this polish, soon I'll publish the (good) results.

A me succede così: più mi è piaciuto uno smalto più faccio fatica a scrivere la review, quindi abbiate pazienza, spero di riuscire ad esprimermi decentemente in questo caso. Ho scoperto questa marca coreana leggendo la recensione sul blog di Nathalie-Jellynat, che è stata tanto carina da mettere anche il link al venditore Ebay, che ho cliccato subito. Visto che spedivano anche in Italia (e non è proprio così ovvio, vero?) con un 11,98$ per lo smalto e un sovrapprezzo obbligatorio per il nostro paese di 2,5$ (raccomandata) ci ho pensato un po' su e poi l'ho ordinato. Tempo venti giorni ed è arrivato, sano e salvo (e ben imballato, come da foto sotto).

La prima cosa che ho notato è il pennello molto largo (5mm circa) e piatto, cosa che però rende l'applicazione molto agevole. Tanto per capire, nelle foto vedete il risultato di due mani, senza nessuna pulizia di "rifinitura" dei contorni.
Una volta asciutto restano evidenti alcuni segni delle pennellate ma i colore è così meraviglioso che non si notano nemmeno: un verde "scarabeo" con fortissimi riflessi turchese e oro. Sotto il sole sembra quasi un foil verde chiaro, ma basta muovere un po' la mano per vedere apparire una meraviglia di riflessi. Stupendo anche all'ombra e interno (ho fatto veramente un sacco di foto).
Posto che i duochrome verde-oro sono il trend del prossimo autunno (Chanel Peridot docet) questo, che a giudicare dalle foto viste in giro è abbastanza diverso, secondo me è comunque un colore che le appassionate dei colori cangianti DEVONO avere.
Nota a margine: fatto un test di durata di questo smalto, buoni risultati che pubblicherò a breve.
Nota due: ammirate anche la forma della bottiglia!
