NOTD: Essence You Rock! LE - 03 Kings of Mints

Here is the last (for me, as I didn't bought the whole collection) polish from You Rock! Essence Trend Edition, a magic mint green (with a sprinkle of jade). Two coats may be enough if you apply thick layers (as on my index and ring finger), otherwise it's better to add a third one (middle finger and pinkie).

Under direct sunlight you will notice (on both bottle and nail detail) many subtle silver shimmers, that give this polish a glowing appearance (similar to Eyeko Rain). Not the usual creme pastel, I liked it very much!

Shade - Luce indiretta

Eccomi qui, con l'ultimo (per me) smalto della You Rock! Essence. Un bel colore verde tendente al giada, se steso denso bastano due mani (indice ed anulare) altrimenti meglio tre (medio e mignolo). Sotto il sole si notano i microshimmer argentati: questa variante al solito creme pastello (un po' tipo il Rain della Eyeko) mi è piaciuta tantissimo!

Here is my second purchase from "You Rock!" Essence Trend Edition, a greyish/brownish purple with purple shimmer, clearly inspired by Chanel Paradoxal. Definitely not a summer color, but really beautiful. Luckily application is not difficult (two coats on all nails, three on middle finger to settle a mess), I will be happy to put it on again next Fall.

Ecco il mio secondo acquisto della "You Rock!". Colore bellissimo, un viola grigio/marroncino con shimmer viola, secondo me ispirato chiaramente al Paradoxal di Chanel. Proprio per questo non lo definirei un colore estivo, comunque mi è piaciuto tantissimo. Per fortuna la stesura è decente (due mani su tutte le unghie tranne il medio, che ne ha una in più, data per sistemare un pasticcio), lo rimetterò molto volentieri il prossimo autunno.

I'm back!! Sooner than I scheduled, as my studying period actually became a breathing space. I don't want to bore you with the details, let's just say I've got to think about my lifestyle and decided my master's degree can wait for a better time.
But I continued painting my nails, obviously :-) and buying polishes. I had a sort of "no buy" policy but latest Essence Trend Editions made me fall into temptation ^_^: next posts will be about them.
This light cyan polish belongs to "You Rock!" and it's really really nice, with subtle light blue iridescent shimmers (clearly visible in the bottle). Unfortunately application is quite lame: after two coats it's still streaky and it takes a third one to have a uniform result. Anyway it's a great color, if you think you can manage the three-coats application without losing your patience, buy it!

Sono tornataaa! Un po' prima del previsto, anche perché la pausa studio si è trasformata in una pausa di riflessione sulla mia vita ^_^ (vi risparmierò i dettagli, diciamo solo che la specialistica per il momento è accantonata).

Nel frattempo ho swatchato un po' di cose, come la Trend Edition You Rock! della Essence. La collezione completa è composta da 5 colori, io ne ho presi 3, saltando il lampone creme (che secondo me non c'entra niente con il resto) e il marroncino con shimmer dorati che mi ricordava un Color&Go uscito di recente...

Iniziamo con l'azzurro chiaro, un carinissimo color carta da zucchero con degli shimmer azzurri iridescenti molto delicati. Putroppo l'applicazione fa abbastanza schifo, la prima e la seconda mano restano strisciate, ne serve almeno una terza per un risultato decente. Però il colore è veramente molto particolare, se avete pazienza lo consiglio!
