NOTD: Essence Show Your Feet 15 Flamingo Rose [Pink Wednesday]

I haven't had the time to post very much lately and accidentaly I find myself ready to write just on Wednesday, so here is another pink (I don't wear often this color, actually)!

This one (a "flamingo" pink? anyway quite on the warm side) belongs to Show Your Feet line (Essence) so I expected it to be opaque after first coat (I might accept layering 3-4 coats of polish on my hands but not on my feet) and somehow shimmery (look at the first picture: in the bottle you notice many lovely pink-gold shimmers). In reality polish is opaque but quite streaky and I wasn't completely satisfied even with second coat, so on middle finger and pinkie I applied three.

And shimmers? Completely absent on nails, but those "invisibles" left a sort of slightly grainy surface (not much, it's just that the nail is not perfectly "mirror" smooth).

Ultimamente riesco a postare poco e spesso mi capita di avere tempo proprio di mercoledì, quindi ecco a voi un altro rosa!

Questo rosa "porcello" appartiene alla linea per i piedi della Essence per cui mi aspettavo un colore intenso (non è che una sui piedi stia a dare tre-quattro mani) e con qualche shimmer (sono stupendi, color oro e rosa, si vedono bene nella bottiglia, fate caso alla prima foto), invece pur essendo pigmentato/coprente, dopo la prima passata era molto strisciato e nemmeno la seconda mi ha soddisfatto del tutto, così alla fine indice e anulare hanno due mani, medio e mignolo tre.

Per quanto riguarda lo shimmer, l'unica cosa che si nota sull'unghia è una certa finitura granulosa (minima eh, però l'unghia non è "a specchio"") mentre non c'è traccia di brillini vari.

NOTD: Essence Show your feet 02 Deep Blue Sea

This is one of my first Essence polishes (my aim would be to swatch all polishes I own, included the oldies and the "why did I bought it?" ones, be prepared to see anything), a navy blue shimmer, really easy to apply and opaque in two coats (maybe a thick one could be enough, too). Quite shiny even without top coat.

Uno smalto che dovevo swatchare da una vita (uno dei primi Essence che ho comprato):  vorrei fare un post per ogni smalto che ho, compresi quelli vecchi (e purtroppo nel 2002 in un momento di sclero ne ho buttati tantissimi) e quelli che ho comprato "chissàperchè" (tipo questo) quindi preparatevi a vedere di tutto. Questo è  un blu scuro shimmer ben pigmentato (due mani nelle mie foto, però una super densa potrebbe bastare) che si stende molto bene. Abbastanza lucido anche senza top coat.

My small Essence "turquoises" comparison: when I bought the Multidimension 61 Blue Lagoon last week I remembered having something similar in my drawer, but as it was another Essence (Show your feet 01 Caribbean Sea), I thought they would have turned out quite different.
On the contrary they are really similar (see pics), Caribbean Sea being a little bit "greener" and shimmer instead of frost. I prefer it, gets more opaque in two coats and there aren't so many ugly visible brush strokes. BTW both stain nails :-(

Ecco la comparazione dei "verde mare" della Essence: quando ho comprato il Multidimension 61 Blue Lagoon mi sono ricordata di avere già il Show Your Feet 01 Caribbean Sea però mi son detta: se la Essence ne ha fatti due, non saranno uguali no?

Invece sono quasi identici :-0

Però il Caribbean Sea è shimmer (niente brutti segni delle pennellate, più coprente dopo due passate) e leggermente più verde; secondo me è il migliore dei due (macchia pure questo, però).

NOTD: Essence Show Your Feet 12 Midnight Glam

This is one of the new (released last spring) "Show your feet" Essence polishes. Judging by the bottle it seemed a very dark (almost black) brown creme; once applied it's a kind of tyrian/burgundy purple...Unfortunately after one coat the result is still really uneven/stripey (see picture) so it needs another one...and the color becomes really dark, as you see in the pictures. Not bad, but maybe too ordinary for tips.

Actually I'm wearing it on my toes since (I think) a couple of weeks and I'm quite satisfied about its duration, considering that in the meantime I went to the beach and wore sneakers (sad & cold rainy days)...

Uno degli smalti "novità" (di questa primavera) della collezione Show your feet della Essence. La boccetta è scurissima, sembra un creme marrone/nero...Una volta steso però si vede che in realtà è un porpora/prugna scuro; purtroppo una mano non basta (viene troppo strisciato) e con la seconda il risultato è uniforme ma molto scuro, come nella bottiglia. Mi è piaciuto abbastanza, anche se sulle mani è un po' anonimo. Però ce l'ho sulle unghie dei piedi da parecchio (forse due settimane) ed è ancora a posto nonostante spiaggia e altri strapazzi tipo sneakers (maledetta pioggia).

NOTD Essence Show your feet 01 Caribbean Sea

Un bell'azzurro-verde (un perfetto colore da sirena) shimmer. Si stende bene ed è abbastanza coprente, ho dato due mani (foto a dx) ma alla luce del sole sull'anulare vedevo ancora la VNL e ne ho aggiunta una (foto a sx).

Non so bene perché l'abbia comprato, non è uno dei miei “soliti” colori, ma devo dire che più lo guardo più mi piace, questo colore sarà stupendo soprattutto quest'estate!

Costo super onesto (€ 2,49 x 8 ml), promosso a pieni voti!

A beautiful shimmering light blue-green (maybe turquoise, but with a pinch of green, left pic is more similar to reality), a real "mermaid" color. Easy to apply: two coats that seemed enough (picture on the right), then in sunlight I saw VNL on ring finger and put another one (picture on the left).

I don't know why I bought it, it's not the typical "me" color, but the more I look at my nails, the more I like it, this summer it will be marvellous.

It is also has a good price (€ 2,49 x 8 ml), definitely a good buy!
