Swatch: Chanel 697 Terrana

Here's the Chanel polish from Méditerranée collection (skittle post here) that I could swatch thanks to my friend Irene :-*

She picked the "weird" :-P one of the bunch: Terrana, a brown shimmer with multi colored sparkles.

The polish is easy to apply and perfect in two coats; regardless of Chanel's opinion I don't think it's a very Summery shade. OK, it's elegant and nice, but more appropriate for Fall (to me).

I tried it also with top coat , to make sparkles "pop out" a little bit more (pictures with ring on my middle finger and detail one), and I definitely prefer it that way.

Ecco qui lo smalto Chanel estivo che ho potuto provare con calma, grazie alla mia amica Irene, che gentile come sempre :-*, me l'ha prestato "uso blog".

Vi avevo già mostrato un assaggio-skittle della collezione, anticipandovi che il Terrana era lo smalto un po' "fuori dal coro": un marrone shimmer con luccichii colorati (non visibilissimi).

Nulla da dire per quanto riguarda l'applicazione, lo smalto è facile da controllare e coprente; due passate nelle mie foto. 

Checché ne dica Chanel, io comunque non lo vedo come un colore molto estivo. OK è bello ed elegante, ma secondo me più portabile in autunno.

L'ho provato anche con una passata di top coat (foto con l'anello sul medio e quella del dettaglio), per "tirare fuori" un po' il luccichio; la differenza non era evidentissima, ma secondo me è decisamente meglio aggiungerlo.

Swatch: Emily de Molly On Edge

Today I'm showing you a "first time", in fact this is my first Emily de Molly: On Edge.

Oggi sul blog una "prima volta", infatti vi mostrerò il mio primo Emily de Molly: On Edge.

I bought this Australian polish (and a couple more indie bottles) at Norway Nails during the last sale (soon I will write a post about my mini haul). I've had Emily de Molly polishes in my wishlist for a while, their flashy holo effect was irresistible!!

On Edge has a very strange shade, not easy to describe: a sort of blue-ish green-ish dark polish, with a stunning holographic effect; moreover at certain angles it shows a burgundy hue (so difficult to catch)!
In direct sunlight you mostly see the amazing linear holo, but indoors and with electric lighting one can detect its duochrome side. I tried very hard to catch it with my camera, eventually I took a couple crappy pics with my cellphone and my nails in the mirror :-D.
I forgot to add: two coats (the polish is quite fluid) and no top coat in my pictures.

That's all, obviously I'm very very happy about this purchase <3 (and I suck at writing the ending of my posts :-P).

Ho preso On Edge e un altro holo di questo marchio australiano da Norway Nails in occasione dei saldi (a breve un post sull'acquisto), incantata dall'effetto olografico "sparaflah" (li avevo in wish list da un pezzo) e gia in boccetta mi sono sembrati spettacolari.

On Edge ha un colore molto strano e difficile da definire, un verde bluastro con riflessi borgogna. Diciamo quasi un duochrome, ma difficile da "documentare"; comunque al sole l'unica cosa che si nota è l'holo pazzesco.

In interni io l'ho visto verde, con le punte più scure. Non vi dico le acrobazie per cercare di fotografarlo, questo passaggio al colore più caldo (metto anche un paio di foto assurde fatte con il cellulare e allo specchio :-D).
Dimenticavo: due passate (lo smalto è moderatamente liquido) e niente top coat per gli swatch!

E' tutto (sono un disastro, non so mai come chiudere i post :-P), spero lo smalto vi piaccia, io ovviamente l'ho adorato!!

Swatch: Kiko 493 Vino Perlato

Good morning! Today I'm showing you another Kiko (this time directly from my "untrieds 2014" box); it's 493 Vino Perlato; I suppose they would have translated it as "Pearly Wine", but on Kiko UK page it has the same Italian name. Heaven knows!

BTW as usual "pearly" at Kiko means "full of gorgeus microflakes" ^_^.

Oggi vi mostro un altro Kiko (questo è mio ;-)), comprato la scorsa -del 2014- primavera. E' il n. 493 Vino Perlato; per fortuna il termine "perlato" da Kiko significa "microflakes", infatti questo rosso è pieno di adorabili scagliette dorato-iridescenti.

Vino Perlato is easy to apply and perfect in two coats (it dries quite glossy, no top coat for these swatches); it's really a gorgeous polish and I hope that my pictures do it justice (it was so sparkly in direct sunlight that it dazzled my camera).

I really loved it!

Lo smalto si applica agevolmente, qui il risultato dopo due passate (resta anche abbastanza lucido, niente top coat nelle foto).

Vino Perlato è davvero bellissimo e spero le foto rendano abbastanza, lo smalto superluccicante "spara" e quelle fatte al sole non mi convincono del tutto.

Comunque è stupendo, credetemi!

Swatch: Liquid Sky Lacquer Mint To Be

Here's Mint To Be, the second Liquid Sky Lacquer polish I own that is going to be discontinued (last week I posted Sugared Berries, but another one that I loved and will say farewell is super stunning dark holo Storm Break).

Ecco il secondo smalto Liquid Sky Lacquer in dismissione (dopo Sugared Berries) che ho deciso di provare prima che diventasse preistoria (un altro "discontinued" bellissimo -secondo me-  è l'holo scuro Storm Break): Mint To Be.

Last year I got the old mini size bottle, the polish is a holographic light/aqua green, with a slightly pearly finish.

Two thick coats and nails are perfectly opaque; indoors it looks like a very light/opalescent green, quite special, but with direct sunlight (or even electric lighting) it shows its stunning holo side (I couldn't stop taking pics)!!

Mint to be (lo avevo preso ancora con la boccetta mini vecchia versione) è un verde acqua chiarissimo olografico (leggermente perlato), perfetto in due passate abbondanti.

In interni sembra un verdino-acqua opalescente, molto particolare, mentre sotto il sole (o luce artificiale) rivela tutto il suo splendore olografico (non riuscivo a smettere di fotografarlo)!!

Swatch: Kiko 529 Scarabeo Metallico - Metallic Beetle

A quick post today, to show you a Kiko from their standard "nail lacquer" line, it's n. 529 Metallic Beetle (from latest update of this line - 60 shades added in Spring 2014).

Lately all new Kiko polishes were part of LE sets or new lines (more sophisticated and expensive Power Pro, for instance), but I still think that their standard polishes are very good (and a bargain, especially now that they're on sale at 1,90€ each here in Italy).

Oggi un post veloce su uno dei Kiko "normali" più recenti (cioè dell'anno scorso :-/ quando hanno introdotto i nuovi 60 colori), il n. 529 Scarabeo Metallico.
Ultimamente tutte le novità hanno riguardato set o smalti particolari (come i nuovi Power Pro), ma io continuo ad apprezzare molto i cari vecchi nail lacquer (tra l'altro ora ancora in offerta a 1,90€).

Anyway I must thank my friend Francesca for lending me this one, it's a beautiful teal-green shimmer: I didn't buy it at that time because I was afraid of dupes.

Judging by the bottle I thought it was a teal, but on me it looked more like a dark green (shimmer is teal-green).

Two coats for these swatches, the polish is pigmented and application is super easy. Once dry it remains also quite glossy.

Thumbs up for my friend's choice!

Questo mi è stato prestato dalla mia amica Francy :-* per il post, è un bel ottanio-verde shimmer, che ai tempi non avevo preso temendo doppioni.

In boccetta l'avrei detto ottanio, sulle unghie invece mi è sembrato più tendente al verde scuro (pieno comunque di shimmerini ottanio e verdi).

Due passate, applicazione agevole e smalto ben pigmentato, che resta anche abbastanza lucido da asciutto.

Ottimo acquisto Sis e grazie ancora <3!!!
