I'm sorry to show these crappy pics, this swatch didn't turned out well but even if I really like this shamrock green polish I'm sure I won't be wearing Bella anytime soon: this polish is a staining mess!
I applied two coats, the result is good but you can see on my index cuticles what happens if the brush slips on skin, no matter how hard you try to clean up.
Being pigmented is ok, but leaving skin green for two days is not.
About Edward...It's very nice (a mix of big square green, round green and micro silver glitters) but you have to be really careful when applying it, as bigger glitters tend to remain on brush and trying to re-touch means just remove more glitters from nail.
On paper (to me) this was the prettiest couple of the bunch, but application issues really disappointed me :-( Anyway these Twins are going to be discontinued, so if you think you can manage stains and frustrating glitter application...Go get them!

Mi dispiace mostrarvi queste foto, non mi piace per niente com'è venuto lo swatch ma non credo che Bella tornerà sulle mie unghie tanto presto, anche se questo colore verde trifoglio mi piace moltissimo: lo smalto macchia un casino! Ho applicato due mani e il risultato è buono ma sulle cuticole dell'indice vedete il risultato di una pennellata che è andata a toccare il bordo, nonostante le innumerevoli passate con pennellino e solvente successive. Va bene essere pigmentati, ma lasciare la pelle verde per due giorni no, eh!
Passiamo ad Edward, suo degno compare: anche questo stupendo con i glitter verdi (quadrati grandi e rotondi piccoli) e i microglitter argento...Solo che applicarli in modo uniforme è difficilissimo, quelli grandi tendono a restare attaccati al pennello, e provare a ripassare implica solo togliere anche quei pochi che fortunatamente erano rimasti sull'unghia.
Insomma sulla carta questo era il mio duo preferito e invece una volta provato sono rimasta proprio delusa. Comunque se siete disposte ad imprecare un po' mentre applicate (e togliete) lo smalto, correte a comprarli finché ci sono, la coppia esce dalla linea permanente, entrando negli imminenti “saldi Essence”.
My first Milani, bought by my husband in Brasil; I don't know why he picked this polish (it was also quite expensive there, being imported from US, let's say twice a Hits holo and four/five times a common polish), but I'm really happy to have it in my stash, as it's a holographic one!
It's a warm shade, a sort of light brink pink, quite sheer after first coat so it took three of them to obtain the pictured result.
As you can see the holographic effect (a little bit scattered) is quite good and remains visible also indoors and with electric lightning. Pretty!

Il mio primo (e probabilmente ultimo :-( salvo altro viaggi) Milani, comprato da mio marito in Brasile (dove costa uno sproposito rispetto agli altri smalti in quanto importato dall'America: tanto per capirci ha un prezzo che è il doppio di un Hits olografico, e quattro/cinque volte uno smalto normale). Non so come mai gli sia venuto in mente di comprarlo, ma sono contentissima di avere un altro olografico nella collezione! Il colore è un rosa caldo, abbastanza trasparente dopo la prima mano, nelle foto vedete il risultato dopo tre passate.
L'effetto olografico è buono (del tipo "scattered"...cioè con le particelle sparse), lo smalto fa parte di quegli holo che riflettono anche con luce artificiale o all'ombra/interno (mentre la maggior parte ha bisogno del sole per essere al meglio). Molto carino!

Books - Libri
ENG I found out there was a famous (in US/UK) trilogy just after hearing
about movie and related polishes a couple months ago...As I read a positive review by Stephen King (a very good writer IMO) about the first book I decided to buy it (the first e-book on my
Kindle) and...Fell in love with characters and story.
As soon as I ended "The Hunger Games" I had to buy "Catching Fire" and then
"Mockingjay". I won't write any spoilers here, but I really loved these
books, they are so not "romance", especially the third one.
Any other Katniss (or better Suzanne Collins) fans over there?
ITA Ho scoperto l'esistenza della trilogia dopo aver letto degli smalti qualche mese fa: inizialmente era trapelata l'anteprima di una collezione con nomi ispirati ai personaggi, poi quelli della Lionsgate sembra abbiano ritenuto l'abbinamento smalti-Hunger Games non particolarmente azzeccato - diciamo che non posso dargli torto, avendo letto i libri - e sembrava non si dovesse farne nulla. Dopo qualche discussione (con avvocati al seguito) la collaborazione con la AII per questa collezione è stata confermata, però facendo riferimento a The Capitol, la capitale di Panem dove l'esasperazione del lusso e dell'estetica sono dominanti e cambiando i nomi, collegandoli ai 12 distretti.
Ma torniamo ai libri: qui da noi non sono particolarmente noti (mi pare), ma dopo aver letto una recensione positiva di Stephen King (grandissimo scrittore, secondo me) ho comprato The Hunger Games (il mio primo libro su Kindle) e l'ho letteralmente divorato. Ovviamente ho dovuto leggere subito anche Catching Fire e l'ultimo, Mockingjay (purtroppo per la versione italiana pare si debba aspettare settembre, son libri di qualche anno fa, ma qua siam sempre indietro). I libri mi sono piaciuti molto, pur essendo "per ragazzi" non sono per niente "robette romantiche e basta" anzi, l'ultimo sopratutto è abbastanza cupo (direi realistico, pur restando nel campo della fantapolitica).
E voi li avete letti? Commenti?

ENGObviously I'm really excited about the incoming movie
(even if I think that I will be overcritical on discrepancies with
book), I think that Jennifer Lawrence will be a great Katniss (her voice is so
moving in the "Reaping" scene). I wish I could see the original version, here in Italy the premiere will be a couple weeks later, on 13th April.
ITAOvviamente sono elettrizzata dal film in uscita (in Italia dal 13 Aprile - qui il Trailer in Italiano) anche se mi piacerebbe vederlo in inglese (la voce della protagonista doppiata secondo me non rende). Da amante del libro cercherò di non rovinarmi la visione con i "confronti mentali" sulle differenze libro/film, qualcuna già individuata nel trailer. Comunque al momento gli attori mi sembrano abbastanza azzeccati; per fortuna anche se l'attore che interpreta Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) si è tinto i capelli - credo, in altre foto è decisamente castano scuro - non ha l'aria da parrucchino finto dell'attore biondo di Twilight.

This is a polish my hubby picked for me (so unexpectedly) during his December trip to Brazil; I think Ana Hickmann is a popular brand there, as I saw many polish swatches on brazilian blogs.
It seemed a brown with golden shimmer but applying it I noticed also a bit of burgundy; a nice polish easy to apply and opaque in two coats.
Unfortunately this polish is not B3Free, as reading ingredients I found both Toluene and DBP; anyway at least they reported on the bottle a warning for pregnant women.
P.S. did you knew Ana Hickmann is a Brazilian (of German heritage) model, once listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as "The model with the longest legs" O_O?

Questo è stato uno degli smalti “a sorpresa” che mio marito ha portato dal Brasile: dalla bottiglia sembrava un marrone caldo con shimmer dorati, ma una volta steso si nota anche una componente bordeaux. Si applica bene ed è perfetto in due mani.
Putroppo come composizione siamo male: non solo contiene Toluene ma anche DBP; l'unica magra consolazione è che almeno riportano sulla bottiglia un avvertimento riguardante le donne in gravidanza (a questo punto non so per quale dei due componenti).
PS: googlando ho scoperto che Ana Hickmann è una modella brasiliana di origine tedesca, entrata nel Guinness dei primati come modella con le gambe più lunghe O_O, lo sapevate?
Last Sunday the weather was so bad (grey sky + freezing cold) I was resigned not to swatch anything, then after lunch a pale
ray of sun came out and I rushed to my desk (full of polishes: it's a
thing that my husband really resents). What to try? I couldn't resist
one of my new A-England polishes and as my nails are still short (for
my standards/wishes) I picked Saint George, the darkest I got.
What you see in pictures (the sun was
pale and faded at a certain point) is ONE coat only.
Application is a dream, as on other
A-England polishes I tried so far: the polish had a perfect thickness, and remains shiny also after drying.
I know this color is described as a
teal but to me it's more green, a wonderful deep emerald green with blue
reflecting particles (not a scattered holo like Tristam or Lady of the Lake), it made me think of a deep green-blue ocean illuminated by sunrays.
I'm afraid my pictures aren't doing it
justice, as it's really stunning: kudos to Adina for creating this
beauty.

Domenica scorsa il cielo era grigio e
deprimente (odio questo freddo) e mi ero rassegnata a non fotografare
niente, ma dopo pranzo un pallido raggio di sole ha fatto capolino e
mi sono precipitata alla scrivania (mezza coperta di smalti e ruote,
per la “gioia” di mio marito). Cosa provare? I miei nuovi
A-England erano in pole position e dato che ho ancora le unghie corte
(rispetto a come le vorrei) ho preso il più scuro di quelli che ho:
Saint George.
Putroppo il sole era abbastanza
debole ed è pure durato poco, comunque quello che vedete nelle foto è il risultato dopo UNA sola passata.
La consistenza dello smalto è
perfetta, si applica praticamente da solo come gli altri A-England
provati finora e una volta asciutto resta molto lucido.
So che questo colore è definito come
“teal” ma a me è sembrato più tendente al verde, mi ha fatto
immediatamente pensare all'oceano illuminato dal sole, verde
misto a blu con particelle riflettenti (Saint George non ha
l'effetto olografico “sparso” di Tristam o Lady of the Lake, ma nell'insieme dà una sensazione di “profondità”).
Mi dispiace che le mie foto non siano belle
come vorrei (magari lo riproverò con un sole decente), perché
questo smalto è semplicemente stupendo. Complimenti ad Adina per
aver creato questa meraviglia.
Another Crystalliced today: a "cold" light blue with gold and pink shimmer, quite noticeable in the bottle.
After first coat this seemed the
sheerest of the bunch, but with a second one it got better; no
streaks even if nail line was still visible.
Not bad, and really shiny (no top coat in my pictures)!

Un altro Crystalliced, stavolta
azzurrino (una specie di fiordaliso chiaro) con shimmer oro e rosa, ben distinguibili nella bottiglia. Nonostante
fosse decisamente poco coprente dopo la prima mano, ne è bastata
un'altra per avere un risultato decente, pur con la linea dell'unghia
visibile. Tutto sommato non male e molto lucido (niente top coat nelle foto)!
